Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Most Requested Books

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish.  This week I get to choose the topic, and I'm going with something a bit out-of-the box.  These aren't MY picks...they are MY STUDENTS' picks :)
In no particular order:

"Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins - yes...still one of the most requested books here!
"Divergent" by Veronica Roth - which I started pushing (heavily) since all my Hunger Games copies were circulating...
"Insurgent" by Veronica Roth - of course!
"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chibosky - with the movie hype...it's been very popular among my teens
"Looking for Alaska" by John Green - this author, in general, is a favorite here
House of Night series by P.C. Cast - the teen girls LOVE LOVE LOVE this series (I'll just count it as one book, though!)
Inheritance series by Christopher Paolini
"Fifty Shades of Grey" by E.L. James - and NO...we do NOT have it!!  :)  (I'm still surprised when one of them asks me for it!)
"Thirteen Reasons Why"  by Jay Asher - another very popular author here
"Nevermore: The Final Maximum Ride Adventure" by James Patterson - while the entire series circulates well...this is by FAR the most requested of the group :)

  1. I've read almost all of these (just reading Looking for Alaska now). Great list (except for 50SoG :X).

  2. Mrs. Beamer,
I am in need of another good YA book. However, I am not a fan of "scary" persay, but I love the romance, dystopian, and mystery genre. Any good recommendations?
