Waiting on Wednesday: The Murmurings by Carly Anne West

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine. It’s designed for bloggers to spotlight the upcoming releases that they simply can’t wait to read.

My pick this week..."The Murmurings" by Carly Anne West
Expected Release Date: March 5th, 2013

From Goodreads:
A teen girl starts hearing the same voices that drove her sister to commit suicide in this creepy, suspenseful novel.

Everyone thinks Sophie’s sister, Nell, went crazy. After all, she heard strange voices that drove her to commit suicide. But Sophie doesn’t believe that Nell would take her own life, and she’s convinced that Nell’s doctor knows more than he’s letting on.

As Sophie starts to piece together Nell’s last days, every lead ends in a web of lies. And the deeper Sophie digs, the more danger she’s in—because now she’s hearing the same haunting whispers. Sophie’s starting to think she’s going crazy too. Or worse, that maybe she’s not…

My thoughts:
Typically not what I go for...but I vowed to read more outside my comfort zone.  CREEPY!!  That word hooked me in...and I'm kind of excited to see what this book has to offer!  Note to self: do not read at night :)

  5. I heard of this one a few weeks ago and it sounds great - suspenseful and unsettling! Every once and again I like reading books where it's hard to tell how sane the protagonist is.
Thanks for stopping by my WoW yesterday!
