Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Auto-Buy Authors

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.  This week I will be sharing my Top Ten Auto-Authors!  We all have them...those authors we stalk at used-book stores...those authors we pre-order...those authors we read "no questions asked".  Here are MINE :)

  1. John Green - a no-brainer...LOVE his works.  Looking For Alaska was my first John Green book, and therefore it always will hold a special place in my heart :)
  2. Sarah Fine - new author...FANTASTIC author.  She is SO wicked smart it's crazy.  Her debut novel Sanctum: Guards of the Shadowlands is one of my top five all-time favorite books.  'Nough said :)
  3. Sarah Dessen - her books just make me happy
  4. Kieran Scott - I loved her He Said/She Said trilogy and can't wait to see what she writes next!  I'm new to her work, so I'm excited to go back and read her earlier books!  Yeah!!
  5. Miranda Kenneally - such a witty writer...love her sense of humor.  I'll read anything she writes :)

Well...these are the FIVE authors on Auto-Buy for me.  Sorry...don't have TEN at this point.

Who are YOU stalking?  What authors do YOU keep on Auto-Buy? Perhaps YOUR favorite will become one of MY favorites!!   I'm excited to hear from you!!  Happy Reading!!  ~Amie Beamer

  1. I have really got to jump on this John Green wagon! I feel like the last person in the book world that hasn't read anything by him! What would you recommend I start with? :)

    2. Definitely recommend starting with Looking for Alaska. And then see how he's grown as an author...and read The Fault in Our Stars!

  2. Hmm. This is a bit of a toughie, because I am picky about my authors. I guess I would choose Ken Follet, George R.R. Martin, K.A. Tucker, and Dan Brown.
